Greetings from the Holy City. This is my first attempt to communicate to all alumni via this page. Overall, the college is doing well. The Citadel completed its first capital Campaign by raising 107 million dollars. This is important due to the fact the State of South Carolina has reduced their funding to the college to only about 18% today. General Rosa has made many visits to Citadel clubs and will continue to do so. As your representative on the BOV, I sit on the Strategic Planning committee and the Buildings and Grounds Committee. We are in the process of developing a strategic plan for our alma mater. Part of the plan has the first three floors of Stevens barracks being refurbished. Capers Hall, Daniel Library and Mark Clark Hall need to be upgraded/replaced in the future. I have visited a number of clubs so far and plan to travel to others in the future. Another class of Citadel men and women will soon be joining our ranks of Citadel alumni. I look forward to hearing from you. Go Dogs!!!!
